Beef Week 2012 The Food & Agribusiness sector is a leading contributor to the global economy and Australia’s role as a leading force is recognised on the world stage. Last week BDO's Food & Agribusiness team members, Darren Crothers, David Krause and Cameron MacMillan travelled to Rockhampton to attend the national Beef Australia week, which is today one of the world's most respected beef cattle events. This year's event attracted more than 75,000 local, interstate and international visitors from over 32 countries, allowing the cattle world to come together and celebrate, collaborate and engage with the leaders and innovators in their industry. This year's program included international trade opportunities, cattle shows and sales, industry seminars, tours of some of the best beef operations in the country, and much more. During the team's time in the region David presented 'Investing in Queensland Beef' where he highlighted current opportunities within the beef and agricultural sectors, as well as accounting and taxation issues to consider when investing.
